Location: Western Fresno County Objective: Provide an intuitive interface for the speed control of two pumps. The user has the option of manual speed control or "PI" speed control of one or both pumps, each controlled separately or together at the users option. The user also has the ability to view and monitor speed, amps, voltage, horsepower, efficiency, and many other variables of the VFD's being used, along with their control, all over Ethernet. This "networked approach" simplified control wiring and greatly reduced the cost in control hardware and labor. Scope: CAD, Control Panel Fabrication, PLC Programming, Touch-screen Programming, and VFD Commissioning
Location: Western Fresno County Objective: Provide replacement of old control panel. Scope: Control panel fabrication.
Location: Western Fresno County Objective: Provide control of almond conveyance for sorting. Scope: Control panel fabrication, PLC programming, Touch-screen programming.
Location: Southwest Fresno County Objective: Provide replacement of obsoleted PLC controls. Scope: Control panel fabrication, PLC programming.
Location: Western San Joaquin Valley / California Aqueduct Objective: Provide efficiency in the control of 4 separate pumps ( 2 - 450HP Soft Starts, 1 - 250HP Soft Start, 1 - 250HP VFD. In the past, the user would dedicate a person or crew in the management of this system. Provided: PLC programming, touch-screen programming, variable frequency drive and soft-start commissioning, panel fabrication which included (1) 90x36 Enclosure to match other equipment dimensions. Scope: Control the start-order and duration of the above mentioned pumps based on system demand and a user supplied set-point entered into the touch-screen. Provides lead/lag functionality and also monitors multiple pressures and flows.
Location: West Fresno County Objective: Provide flexibility and better control in multiple groupings of all plant conveyors, and to eliminate downtime in the tracking of failed motors. Provided: PLC programming, touch-screen programming, panel fabrication which included (2) 90x36 Enclosures, Ethernet network installation including CAT5e terminations. Scope: Control the start-order and grouping of motors based on user selected options on the touch-screen. With each new group of motors brought online while on the fly, the newly designated "forward-running group" of motors would then become the new leader of all groups downstream. Monitoring included all communications, VFD speed references, all motor "run" and "trip" status with an alarm pop-up screen pin-pointing motor starter locations within the existing Motor Control Centers. Ethernet installed for the inexpensive remote I/O requirements and also for the need to start a new plant-wide Ethernet infrastructure.
Location: Central Fresno County. Objective: Provide energy efficiency by implementing Variable Frequency Drives and a Programmable Logic Controller to a application that until now, used soft-start technology. In the past, the user would use full horsepower to accomplish this task, while having to adjust/throttle a valve for the multiple setpoints in washing. Provided: PLC programming, touch-screen programming, consultation, and final wiring diagrams of fabricated control panel provided and installed by the user. Scope: Provide PLC and Touch-screen programming to provide pressure regulation based on the setpoint entered in to color touch-screen and realtime pressure feedback using a pressure transducer. Monitor actual pressure, variable frequency drive speed and status, along with water levels in filtration system.
Location: Northwest Fresno County. Objective: Ongoing system design and implementation of PLC, Operator Interface, and wireless networking as new booster stations and water wells are added to the system. Providing: PLC Programming, Consultation Services. Scope: Monitor and control remote water wells and booster stations from a central location (City Yard/Waterworks).
